Therapeutic Approach
In my work as a Psychologist, I draw from a range of evidence-based therapeutic frameworks to support meaningful, lasting change. Each intervention is tailored to a client’s specific goals, preferences, and presenting concerns. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, practical, and grounded in psychological science.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours. It’s a structured, goal-oriented approach that’s highly effective for anxiety, depression, and stress.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
ACT helps clients build psychological flexibility by learning to accept difficult emotions and take action aligned with their values. It’s particularly useful for navigating life transitions and emotional discomfort.
Interpersonal Therapy (IPT)
IPT focuses on improving communication and relationships. I use it to support clients experiencing grief, conflict, or role changes that impact emotional wellbeing.
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
DBT integrates mindfulness and emotion regulation strategies. I use DBT-informed techniques to help clients manage intense emotions and improve interpersonal effectiveness.
Motivational Interviewing (MI)
MI is a conversational style that enhances motivation for change. I use it to support clients working through ambivalence, especially in areas like health behaviour, addiction, or lifestyle adjustment.
Schema Therapy
Schema Therapy helps uncover long-standing patterns formed early in life that may be affecting current wellbeing. I use it to support deeper emotional work and personality-related concerns.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
SFBT is a strengths-based, future-focused approach. I use it to help clients build momentum and achieve practical goals, especially in short-term or coaching contexts.
Exposure Therapy
Exposure Therapy helps clients gradually face fears in a safe, supported way. I use it to treat phobias, trauma-related avoidance, and anxiety disorders.
Narrative Therapy
Narrative Therapy invites clients to reframe their personal stories. I use it to help individuals externalize problems and build more empowering identities.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness-based approaches help clients develop present-moment awareness and emotional regulation. I integrate mindfulness into therapy to reduce stress and improve resilience.
Psychodynamic Therapy
Psychodynamic Therapy explores unconscious patterns and early experiences. I use it to support insight, self-understanding, and long-term emotional growth.
Soft Skills Training
In addition to therapeutic work, I offer training in key interpersonal skills such as communication, conflict management, emotional intelligence, and leadership development. These sessions are tailored to individuals or organisations seeking to improve workplace relationships, team dynamics, and personal effectiveness.
